Although there’s also a lively atmosphere and music on the Strip, the noise is more spread out. At the Fremont Street Experience, there’s live music, shows, and plenty of action late into the night, and the noise is concentrated on a single street. This means that if you choose a hotel right here, probably you’ll hear noise from your room.

🛌🏼Not all hotels have been renovated

👨👩👧👦This isn't the best area for a family stay
If you're traveling with kids or prefer to stay in a quiet setting, Fremont Street isn't the best place to stay. At night, this area is chaotic and lively, with parties going on until the wee hours, so we think it's better suited for groups of friends looking to party or couples who want to have a good time.
🚶🏼In Downtown, everything is close by
If there's one thing that sets Downtown apart from the Strip, it's that you can reach any tourist attraction in this area on foot, whereas to get around the Strip, you'll need to use public transportation. This is undoubtedly a major advantage of this area.
💸Prices are usually lower than in the Strip
Although there are all kinds of hotels, just like on the Strip, staying in Downtown is generally more affordable (though there are also resort fees and deposits). As for food and drink, we find Downtown to be a cheaper area to eat and have a drink, and there’s plenty of variety.
In addition, if you’re traveling by rental car or your own vehicle, most hotels offer free parking to guests, which can save you quite a bit of money. This is harder to find on the Strip.

We see a lot of people staying on Fremont Street who complain that it’s far from the Strip, thinking they can walk between the two areas. Nothing could be further from the truth! You’ll need to use one of Las Vegas’ public transportation options to get from one place to the other.

The Circa Resort & Casino is the newest hotel on Fremont Street, having opened its doors in 2020, which means its facilities are brand-new and stylish. It is one of the few adults-only accommodations in the area (21+), making it ideal for couples.
Some of the highlights include its Stadium Swim pool, which not only offers great views but also features a huge TV to keep you entertained while you take a dip. It also has a casino and the world’s largest sportsbook (though it doesn’t have a poker room).
It features several restaurants and bars, one of the most notable being Vegas Vickie's, located at the lobby and where the neon sign of this legendary cowgirl shines brightly.
On the downside, not only is it an expensive hotel, but parking isn't included (it's $25 a day), and because of its location, it can be noisy (though that's something you just have to accept if you're staying in this area).

The D is one of the most affordable hotels on Fremont Street, yet it still offers a great combination of location, price, amenities, and atmosphere. It’s just a short walk from the street, making it perfect if you want to step right out of your hotel and into the heart of the action. Don’t miss the replica of Brussels’ Manneken Pis at the entrance!
Although it's an old hotel, it's been recently renovated, so the rooms don't have that retro feel you find in other hotels. That said, if you stay here, try to get a room on one of the upper floors to avoid the noise from the live concerts, since the stage is very close by.
It features a lively casino and a wide variety of games, as well as a small pool, but as a guest here, you get free access to the Stadium Swim at the Circa Hotel—probably the best pool in Downtown.
Although breakfast isn't included, there are several bars and restaurants on the premises, and you get free parking as a guest.
3. Four Queens Hotel & Casino

The neon sign at the entrance of the 4 Queens is one of the most unique, and it’s another one of the most affordable hotels on Fremont Street—plus, there’s no resort fee. That said, if you give in to the temptation to book the cheapest room, you’ll be staying right above Fremont Street, so a good night’s sleep isn’t exactly guaranteed.
The rooms are generally a bit outdated, although those in the North Tower have recently been renovated, so if you're looking for something more modern, book here.
In terms of entertainment and dining options, it falls a bit short compared to the others. Also, it doesn't have a pool, but it's affiliated with Binion's, so you can use their pool—which is small but located on the rooftop and offers great views.
4. Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino

Welcome to one of most legendary hotels in Las Vegas! The Golden Nugget opened in 1946, and although it has been renovated several times, it still retains that blend of history and modernity that makes it one of the best places to stay on Fremont Street.
Plus, its location right in the heart of the street is ideal, along with its wide selection of entertainment options and restaurants. Free parking is also included in the rate.
The rooms at this hotel are located in four towers: Spa (the most luxurious), Rush (modern), Gold (next to the casino), and Caston (the most modest and affordable). If you're looking for a quiet night's sleep, it's best to ask the hotel staff to give you a room that's as far away from Fremont Street as possible.
One of the Golden Nugget's most notable features is its pool, known as "The Tank," which, in addition to water slides, features a massive tank filled with fish and sharks. While we know this might appeal to many people, we believe that these animals belong in the ocean, not in a Las Vegas hotel.
5. Downtown Grand Hotel

This hotel is one of the best options if you want to stay near the Fremont Street Experience. It’s true that you’ll still hear some noise since it’s just a block away, but it won’t be as loud as it is at the hotels right on the street.
It features recently renovated rooms (even with a coffee maker!) and includes a light breakfast in the price, consisting of yogurt, a beverage, a pastry, and a piece of fruit. Inside, there are several bars and restaurants, and it’s located very close to The Mob Museum, one of the most interesting places to visit in Las Vegas.
Parking is free for guests, and there’s a rooftop pool (with a bar) that offers great views. As for the casino, it’s true that it’s not as big and doesn’t offer as many entertainment options as others.
6. El Cortez Hotel & Casino

This is an adults-only hotel (21+) located just a few steps from the Fremont Street Experience, right in the heart of the Fremont East Entertainment District, so it offers a slightly quieter alternative and there are plenty of dining options nearby.
It features older rooms as well as others that have been renovated in a vintage style, 3 restaurants, a cocktail bar, and a free airport shuttle service (available only from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM).
