Here, nature takes center stage with its mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes, canyons, deserts, forests, unique rock formations, beaches, and hot springs. It’s also a country where you can enjoy incredible wildlife watching, explore authentic small towns, visit movie locations, stroll through iconic cities, have fun in theme parks, and discover Native culture.

How did the idea for Your Trip to USA come about?
We’ve traveled across the United States several times and experienced it in many ways — by train, in a convertible Mustang, and even in a camper van. Our last adventure was a five-month road trip that took us all the way to Alaska, fulfilling a lifelong dream. We’ve been lucky enough to visit 12 of its 50 states, 23 of its 63 National Parks, and many State Parks, National Monuments, and cities. And there’s still so much left to explore!
With so much experience in the country, we had a lightbulb moment: what if we share all the travel tips and practical info we’ve gathered about the U.S.? What if we covered not just the country’s most famous landmarks but also its hidden gems? What if we designed the best itineraries to help others easily plan their dream trip through the United States?
That idea is now a reality — Your Trip to USA is here to make your journey unforgettable.
What are you going to find in this website?

¿Quién es Irene?

Who is Irene?
Hi! I'm Irene, a pharmacist by training and a traveler by passion. Although I love the profession I studied for so many years, I love traveling even more. I started traveling as a backpacker, exploring Southeast Asia for six months. Later I evolved into a campervan traveler, a passion that has led me to travel the entire American continent in a van for 26 months.
I'm always looking for places to visit and things to do; it's impossible to get bored with me! With that in mind, you can probably imagine what my map of the United States looks like: it's so full of pins that even with four lifetimes I couldn't see all the places I'd like. Well, actually that happens to me with every country I want to visit!
I love the mountains; in fact, hiking is one of my great passions. That said, don't count on me for directions—I'm terrible at it! Luckily I have Roger to always guide me down the right path.

¿Quién es Roger?

Who is Roger?
Hi! I'm Roger, a computer engineer, but not one of those geeky ones. What you're thinking is correct: I'm the one who maintains the technical side of this website, although I actually call myself "the fixer."
I spent several months living in Paris on Erasmus, so it's one of my favorite cities in the world (and where I've learnt French). Then I met Irene, and thanks to her, traveling has also become my passion.
I never imagined I'd travel through Southeast Asia with just a backpack or drive from Ushuaia to Alaska in my own campevan for more than 2 years. Without a doubt, the most impactful experience of my life!
I'm the one who brings a bit of sense to the trips. Irene wants to visit so many places that I have to narrow it down, because if it were up to her, we'd be visiting places day and night. I'm also the one who designs the itineraries to make the routes as logical as possible; navigation is my strong point!

Irene
- I love animals. And when I say animals, I mean ALL ANIMALS. I don't turn my nose up at a mouse, a snake, or a spider. They melt my heart just as much as a cat or a dog.
- Because of this passion, I’ve been vegetarian for many years.
- There's nothing I hate more on this planet than olives. They disgust me! I can't even look at them or smell them.
- I’m addicted to TV series. I’m from the Lost era, but some of my other favorites are The Handmaid’s Tale, Breaking Bad, Severance, and The Last of Us.
- I’m pretty stubborn. Sometimes I think it’s a problem, but other times I see it as a quality that has helped me achieve a lot in life.
- I’m a natural haggler — sometimes I’ve fought hard over just a few cents. Now I see it makes no sense, but in the moment I love it!
- I don't understand how people can like white chocolate. That's not chocolate! Dark chocolate is definitely the best.
- I’m more of a coffee person than a tea person, and more into beer than wine.
- The places in the U.S. that surprised me the most when I least expected it: the state of Idaho, Glacier NP in Montana, and Redwood NP in California.
- My favorite places in the United States: Katmai NP in Alaska, Yellowstone NP in Wyoming, and southern Utah in general.

Roger
- I'm passionate about snowboarding. One of my dreams is to ski in Canada, the United States, and Japan.
- I'm a pro at planning, the kind of person who creates detailed travel routes in Excel.
- I’m 1.90m tall, which sometimes makes life complicated. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve hit my head, and traveling in Southeast Asia’s mini–buses was a nightmare.
- My favorite moment of the week is Friday night, and I always celebrate it with pizza and beer.
- I’m fascinated by history. In fact, I would have studied a history degree if it hadn’t been for my father, who quickly realized it didn’t have much of a future and steered me toward computer science.

- Ever since I got my camper van, I’ve basically become a handyman: fixing taps, furniture, water leaks, batteries… you name it.
- I love olives, so if you're like me, you can imagine what it's like to live with someone who hates them. I have to eat them in secret, can you believe it?
- The places in the U.S. that surprised me the most when I least expected it: the Mojave Desert in California, Angels Landing in Zion NP, and Vermilion Cliffs (between Utah and Arizona).
- My favorite places in the U.S.: Wrangell–St. Elias NP in Alaska, Lake Clark NP in Alaska, and Grand Teton NP in Wyoming.
